State Security of Egypt charges a journalist with terrorism due to his criticism of President Al-Sisi

The Supreme State Security in Egypt detained journalist Amer Abdel Moneim for 15 days on remand in case No. 1017. The prosecution accused Abdel Moneim of distributing fake news and assisting a terrorist group in achieving its objectives.
On December 19th, 2020, the security forces arrested Abdel Moneim from his home in Giza for his articles that criticize the policies of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
