Tunisia – Journalists protest as the government delays their demands

A number of Tunisian journalists protested in the government square, in Tunis; together with other protests of journalists in several governorates in a day of rage. The Tunisian Journalists Union called for condemning the negligence of the government of Hisham El-Meshishi to their demands in activating the joint agreement for professional journalists. This agreement was signed by the former prime minister, and it stated the improvement of the economic conditions of journalists. The protesters raised slogans calling for the settlement of the fragile situations of journalists in the government sector; as well as the employment of graduates of the Press Institute who their unemployment exceeded ten years.
