Israel releases Al-Jazeera's correspondent Guevara Al-Budairi

The Israeli forces released Al-Jazeera’s correspondent Guevara Al-Budairi; they arrested and detained her for hours at Salah El-Din Police Station in Jerusalem; because she was covering the current events in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

They also attacked her, as Al-Jazeera channel quoted Al-Budairi on her official page on “Twitter”, describing what happened to her. She said, “They kicked me and brutally took me and treated me as if I am a criminal”.

Furthermore, the Israeli authorities stipulated that Al-Budairi cannot enter or approach the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood for 15 days.

While Al-Budairi’s lawyer, Khaldoun Najm, said in a press statement, “The footages proved the fakeness and lies of the occupation, when saying that Guevara assaulted them, so the occupation came with another false argument, which is: “not complying with police orders and not showing the identification card”.”
