A retaliation behind the disruption of major websites

Several websites of official international institutions, media institutions and major companies were suddenly disrupted this morning. The media reported that behind this sudden disruption is a retaliation made by hackers.

Furthermore, the media indicated that the attack was caused by the announcement made by the US Department of Justice officials; to recover a part from the ransoms paid to stop a cyber attack on “Colonial Pipeline”. In addition to what US and Australian officials said about US and Australian agencies hacking an application used by mafia criminals in drug trafficking.

In detail, the disrupted websites were as follows: websites of the “White House”; “the British government”; “Amazon”, “CNN” and “The New York Times” of the United States; the French newspaper “Le Monde”; and the British “Guardian” and “Financial Times” newspapers.
