Algerian authorities withdraw “France 24” accreditation

The Minister of Communication and Spokesperson for the Algerian government, Ammar Belhimer; commented on the decision to withdraw accreditation of the French channel “France 24”; after speaking to the official Algerian News Agency.
He said that: “the clear and repeated hostility of this channel towards our country and its institutions, as well as its lack of respect for the rules of professional ethics, and its practice of media misinformation and manipulation; In addition to the confirmed aggression against Algeria”.

Furthermore, the Algerian authorities withdrew the channel’s accreditation last Sunday; and the Ministry of Communications said in a statement; “France 24’s bias in covering Friday rallies is blatant by going unchecked through using archive images to help anti-national remnants, formed by reactionary or separatist organizations, and with international extensions”.
